The Choices We Make

Every man, other than God, is a judge of his own character and of others too, either a good one or a poor one. Sometimes, for want of momentary pleasure, we make certain choices, that lead to a lot of emotional baggage behind us, collateral damage ahead of us, repercussions for our actions and paranoia inside us.
The choices we make happen either at an impulse, or after looking at things from all perspectives.
If you make bad choices and just stick to them 'cause they've been a part of you, you lose a LOT of good people in your life. The people whom you deserve.
You tend to lose your self-respect and guess what? You lose yourself too.
You become fake, disgusting and selfish.
You let people down. Sometimes, these thoughts make you feel suicidal.
Believe me, I've been there. I've lost a lot of good people and I don't think I'm strong enough to handle everything in me. That's when the One above comes to you and makes you feel warm. Gives you another chance in life. Another chance to come back. 'Cause dudes and babes, you can't live your life in guilt and drown in it, 'cause you lost the better people you deserved.
Now, if you make good choices, you'll neither have regrets nor lose people. Actually, wait. You do. The choices that are good for you may not be always good for others. You can't please the whole world.
But you won't have regrets. You'll be happier within you. I mean real happiness. But when you do, please don't mess it up.
The choices we make have their own results which may be seen in due time. They don't always define who you are, but do define who you're turning out to be.
Important : If you see anyone who's really messed up, please go to them and help them to the best of your ability. Who knows, someday they'll need you and someday they'll return the favour. They've made bad choices and deep down, they want to change.
