She decided to close her eyes and fall into a deep sleep.
She then imagined that she was in college. She roamed around aimlessly. Bewildered. Until she saw, the guy she's always liked. The next moment, she thought of everything that happened between them from the first time they met till that very moment when she saw him again. He met her in the cultural club auditions.
He introduced himself to her. That moment, she'd never felt so lit up and special. Like there was someone on this earth wanting to meet her and he finally got the chance to do so.
She tried messaging him on Facebook, until he gave her his number. Initially, they hit off like crazy. Like as if they'd known each other for so long.
She told him about her life and a summary of her past. His reply had made her feel so peaceful inside. "I've seen how you are and trust me, you're Shaina for me, not the Shaina people talk about. Don't mind or ever bother all the narrow mindedness that you face. You've started on a totally fresh page for me. And I've been impressed beyond words by your charming personality. So don't worry. :)"
She loves rereading those words over and over again.
IHe used to be busy almost all the time until the day he came home along with two other friends, at the anti ragging squad where he pulled her leg, and after friendship day, where they met in the college canteen, she gave him a self made card, he tied around her wrist a friendship band(which he'd proclaimed was self made ) and spent time like crazy.
He wanted to introduce her to his friends. He did so. And his friends tease him with her. Or probably the other way round. But she wants his friends to like her. Above all, she wants him to like her. She wants to take things slow with him after her heart'd been broken so many times.
It all boiled down to that moment when she saw him again. Him and his killer smile. It was raining. They both wanted to say things they couldn't say to each other before.
He told her that he had a surprise for her. So, he held her hand and took her to the open auditorium, where his band was going to perform a song for her. Her favourite song. The band performed well. When everyone went away, they stayed back. That's when she told him that she was pissed at him. He told her that he liked her, something which she always wanted to hear.
She was like,"Are you sure? Because you know how my heart is now." To which he replied,"You're one of the most amazing girls I've known. Who's just herself. Why won't I like you?" They then shared a small kiss on the lips and decided to take things slow from there.
Till she woke up, her face was lit by a glowing smile on her face that seemed so beautiful beyond description. But when she opened her eyes in the morning with a jolt, her smile had turned into a frown. 'Cause she realised that it was only just a dream.
